By downloading, installing, or using StreamStow ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download, install, or use the Software.

2. Description of Service

StreamStow is a macOS application that allows users to download video content from websites. The Software includes a built-in browser, video detection capabilities, and optional encrypted storage features.

3. Lawful Use Only

You agree to use the Software only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Software complies with all applicable laws.

4. Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you download using the Software.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You have the legal right to download any content you choose to download
  • You will not use the Software to download content that infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyrights, trademarks, or other proprietary rights
  • You will not use the Software to download content that violates any applicable laws or regulations
  • You understand that many videos on the internet are protected by copyright and that downloading them without permission may be illegal

The developer of this Software does not encourage, condone, or support the downloading of copyrighted material without proper authorization.

5. No Monitoring or Liability for User Actions

The developer does not monitor, control, or have any knowledge of the content you download using the Software. The developer:

  • Has no responsibility for any content you download
  • Has no liability for any legal consequences arising from your use of the Software
  • Cannot and does not verify your right to download any particular content
  • Is not responsible for determining whether any content is copyrighted or otherwise protected

6. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer and any affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Software
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
  • Any content you download using the Software

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE

The developer does not warrant that the Software will meet your requirements or that any errors will be corrected.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

  • INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
  • LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL
  • DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE
  • DAMAGES ARISING FROM ANY CONTENT DOWNLOADED USING THE SOFTWARE

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based, even if the developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. License Terms

Trial Period

The Software includes a limited trial period allowing a specified number of free downloads. After the trial period expires, a valid license is required for continued use.

Paid License

Upon purchase, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software on your personal devices. Your license key is for your individual use only and may not be shared, sold, or distributed.

Revocation

The developer reserves the right to revoke any license that is found to be shared, resold, or obtained fraudulently.

10. Updates and Changes

The developer may update the Software or these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Software after changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes to these Terms will be indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date.

11. Termination

The developer may terminate or suspend your access to the Software at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that the developer believes violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, the developer, or third parties.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the developer regarding the use of the Software and supersede any prior agreements.
